My EDH Verdict

From an EDH perspective, I do not think Rhystic Study should be banned.

My position is simple: pay the 1 when it matters, run more interaction, play Rhystic Study yourself, or, if your own group truly hates the card, agree not to use it locally.

Commander does not need a format-wide ban for every card that frustrates some tables. Sometimes the better solution is to let individual playgroups decide what kind of games they want to have. Rhystic Study is powerful, irritating, and often game-warping if ignored, but in my view it is still a card that EDH can handle.

That is why I believe it should remain legal.
