MTG Arena will restore more than 200 digitally rebalanced tabletop cards to their printed versions on September 22. The mass reversal accompanies Alchemy's retirement plan and will materially reshape Historic and Brawl.
Historic will ban Galvanic Discharge, Guide of Souls, Nadu, Winged Wisdom, Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord and The One Ring. Brawl will also ban Nadu, producing six format-card bans across the two lists. Timeless and Competitive Brawl receive no immediate changes.
The reversions also return cards including Minsc & Boo, Vivi Ornitier, Orcish Bowmasters and Demilich to their paper text. Wizards can still act again if the resulting Historic environment develops new outliers; the next scheduled ban window is October 12.
