Farseek is receiving its first fully textless printing as the annual MagicCon promo for 2027. The new version, illustrated by Flavio Greco Paglia, is included with every MagicCon badge during the year. MagicCon Detroit attendees will be the first announced recipients when the convention runs from February 26–28.
The choice gives the promo unusually broad Commander relevance. Farseek searches for a Plains, Island, Swamp or Mountain and can therefore find nonbasic dual lands carrying those types. MTG Rocks cites more than 1.6 million EDHREC decks and places it seventh among Commander’s most-played cards over the last two years. Unlike a niche showcase card, this is a cosmetic treatment many players can place directly into existing decks.
Scarcity should not be assumed from the Detroit announcement alone.
