Jurati can turn copied Aether Hearts into extra turns, provided combat connects

Jurati, Cordial Queen has a more concrete application than simply doubling useful artifacts: the October 27 MTG Rocks analysis sets out an extra-turn construction using Gonti’s Aether Heart. The line depends on a prepared token and successful combat, so it needs more explanation than an “infinite turns” headline suggests.

Jurati triggers when one or more artifact creatures you control deal combat damage to a player. Each such trigger copies a target artifact token you already control. Several creatures hitting the same player in the same damage event still produce one trigger, while connecting with different players can produce separate triggers. The artifact-token target is essential: Jurati cannot begin by copying an ordinary nontoken Aether Heart.

The source uses Ultron, Artificial Malevolence to make the first Heart token when a nontoken Heart enters, paying for Ultron’s copying ability. Mirror Box handles the legend rule so that multiple Aether Hearts can remain on the battlefield. Additional artifact creatures then supply attackers capable of reaching opponents.

Each Heart rewards artifact entries with energy. Jurati’s combat triggers resolve separately, making more Heart tokens one at a time. Their energy output grows as more Hearts survive. With an original Heart and a seed token already present, three successive new Heart tokens produce six, eight and ten energy respectively, before any Heart is exiled. It is not thirty energy from three copies entering simultaneously.

A Heart can be exiled for eight energy to obtain an extra turn. Preserving a Heart token for Jurati to target, enough surviving Hearts to generate energy, and attackers that can connect again makes further turns possible. The line is conditional on that board state; it does not independently guarantee an uninterrupted loop against every remaining opponent.

The weaknesses are substantial. Blockers or removal can prevent damage, destroying Mirror Box exposes the legendary copies to the legend rule, and artifact removal can eliminate the seed. This is nevertheless a distinct, newly documented Commander construction, with a specific payoff and resource sequence, rather than evidence of competitive adoption or an automatic four-card win.
