Oath of Teferi rises 295% after 87-sale Superfriends surge

Direct TCGplayer sales, multi-printing depletion and thousands of new Reality Fracture deck inclusions support a broad but reversible move from about $0.80 to $3.16.

Oath of Teferi has risen from roughly $0.80 earlier in September to a near-mint low around $3.16 after a concentrated wave of completed sales. TCGplayer volume peaked on September 28 at 87 copies, and only 61 near-mint copies of the Dominaria printing remained when the move was reported. The Commander Masters printing showed the same pressure, with 18 near-mint listings starting near $3.23.

The catalyst is measurable Superfriends adoption after Reality Fracture. Oath already appeared in about 56,800 EDHREC decks, but the new set added roughly 2,500 Tam, the Possibility lists and 2,180 Jace, Multiverse Architect lists using the enchantment. Its ability to double planeswalker activations also supports established infinite-turn and token lines, making the demand broader than a single speculative combo.

Liquidity is stronger than an asking-price spike alone: the report identifies completed sales, continuing post-peak movement and depletion across both paper printings. The two versions also sit in the same price band, reducing variant confusion. Even so, $3 listings are not guaranteed completed-sale prices, and daily volume has already cooled from the peak.

Reversal risk remains meaningful. Commander cards tied to a newly fashionable archetype often retrace when attention shifts, and Star Trek will introduce the next major release cycle. A targeted reprint could also rebuild supply quickly. The move therefore reflects real demand and constrained breadth, but not a risk-free new floor; players who need the card have evidence to explain the increase, while speculators still face set-hype and reprint exposure.
