Reality Fracture makes “attacks a player alone” opponent-specific

Reality Fracture’s rules update defines solo attacks separately for each defending player and applies targeted Oracle changes to Dragon Engine, Traxos and Sylvan Primordial.

Reality Fracture’s comprehensive-rules update has formally defined what it means for a creature to “attack a player alone.” Under new rule 506.6, the game checks each defending player separately: a creature satisfies the condition if it is the only creature declared as an attacker against that player. Other creatures may still attack different opponents, planeswalkers or Battles during the same combat.

That distinction matters most in multiplayer games. A creature attacking one opponent can receive the new solo-attacker rewards even while its controller sends additional creatures elsewhere. The rule does not rewrite exalted, which still asks whether a creature attacked alone across the entire combat. Creatures or tokens that enter the battlefield already attacking were not declared as attackers, so they do not invalidate the new condition.

The bulletin also delivers several Oracle updates. Dragon Engine and Traxos, Scourge of Kroog now have the Dragon creature type to match Reality Fracture’s presentation. Sylvan Primordial’s wording is narrowed so its land search happens once after all selected noncreature permanents are destroyed, rather than potentially scaling with the number destroyed. Several cards also receive wording that clarifies when mana of any type may be spent.

These changes arrive before Reality Fracture’s tabletop release, giving judges and players a single official reference for the set’s multiplayer combat language. The practical takeaway is that “one attacker per opponent” is a different pattern from traditional exalted play and can support several simultaneous solo attacks.
