Reality Fracture’s guarantee of an echoed legendary pair in every booster required more than adding a bonus sheet. Set design lead Yoni Skolnik says the set contains 66 uncommon legends and must place three legendary cards in each booster to make the pairing work consistently.
To support that density, Wizards reduced the number of commons from 81 to 71, increased uncommons from 100 to 109 and raised the overall uncommon density per pack. The team also added multicolor signpost legends and converted five “Way of the…” enchantments into ten echoed-pair cards, creating more noncreature slots inside the paired sheet.
The Limited environment uses a core theme for each color that overlaps two color pairs, allowing the high legend count to support multiple archetypes rather than forcing each card into one narrow lane. This newly disclosed structure explains how Reality Fracture’s alternate-reality concept materially changed both collation and draft design.
