The third round of the 2026–27 Regional Championship cycle will run Regional Championship Qualifiers from December 11, 2026, through March 28, 2027. Store-level events may use Standard or Sealed, while larger destination qualifiers can offer additional formats at the organizer’s discretion.
Every RCQ participant receives a non-foil Strategic Betrayal promo while supplies last. Top finishers receive Archenemy’s Charm, with foil copies reserved for players who qualify for a Regional Championship. The exact number awarded depends on each event’s qualification slots, so the premium promo remains tied to advancement rather than simple attendance.
Wizards also mapped the next two Regional Championship rounds. Events from September 11 through November 1, 2026, use Modern and qualify players for Pro Tour Nauctis; their participation promo is Kozilek’s Command. The following round runs January 8 through February 14, 2027, uses Standard and sends qualifiers to Pro Tour Tokyo, with Elspeth, Storm Slayer as its participation promo. Regional dates vary, including the EMEA championship in Bilbao on February 12–14.
The update matters because it lets players choose a route by format, calendar and reward before local registration opens. It also separates the broad store-level invitation path from regional events whose formats and exact dates are fixed. Players still need to consult their regional organizer for venue rules and slot counts, but the global qualifier window and promo structure are now confirmed.
