Notably, there will be no Commander preconstructed decks accompanying this release. Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks addressed this distinction during a recent earnings conference, stating:

“Spider-Man will be Standard-only cards. There won’t be any kind of precon decks, so that will make it a bit smaller.” 

This approach suggests a more streamlined product offering, concentrating on integrating Spider-Man’s universe into the core MTG experience without the addition of specialized Commander decks.
