Multiverse Reforged introduces Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel, an Esper legend that can replace life gain with losing that much life and drawing cards. Sheoldred, the Apocalypse turns that replacement effect into a repeatable engine.
After Niv-Mizzet starts the sequence by drawing, Sheoldred gains life. Niv-Mizzet can convert that gain into another draw, which triggers Sheoldred again and repeats the cycle. Because the exchange is controllable, the player can stop before drawing an empty library or use a payoff such as Thassa’s Oracle to turn access to the full deck into a win.
The interaction is distinct from the precon’s general reveal: it identifies a compact, newly enabled Esper combo that is not included as a complete package in Multiverse Reforged and therefore gives deckbuilders an immediate upgrade direction.
