Vraska’s reprint climbs toward $4 amid 550-plus reported sales

New sales reporting and two-printing breadth support Vraska, Betrayal’s Sting’s recovery, with Tam and Jace adoption offering a plausible demand catalyst.

Source transparency: This Digest item is based primarily on reporting from MTG Rocks. TMF summarizes and interprets the news; original reporting remains credited and linked.
Vraska, Betrayal’s Sting has moved from a roughly $1 reprint toward $4, with transaction activity supporting the change rather than only a high asking price. MTG Rocks reports on October 15 that the Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander printing recorded more than 550 sales over the preceding month. Its reproduced near-mint graph ends around $3.99, while the article places the cheapest near-mint listings at $3.90.

Those measures should remain separate. The $3.90 figure is a listing floor, not a promise that every copy sells there; the displayed $3.99 line is the source’s near-mint market indicator, not an independently audited ledger of individual transactions. The reported sales count provides direct activity evidence, but it is not a guarantee of immediate liquidity for a seller or proof that 550 different buyers participated.

The movement also reaches beyond one printing. The article puts original Phyrexia: All Will Be One near-mint copies from $3.89, after they had fallen to roughly $2.40 following the Commander reprint. The reprint’s stated month-earlier starting point is $1.02. This is a sizeable recovery from a low base, not evidence that every printing has tripled or that the card has surpassed all earlier prices: originals previously sat around $5–$6.

There is card-specific demand evidence. The source reports almost 4,200 Tam, the Possibility decks and almost 2,500 Jace, Multiverse Architect decks containing Vraska. These are deck-inclusion snapshots, not completed purchases, and the totals should not be treated as unique customers or automatically added as independent sales. They nevertheless fit Vraska’s role in Superfriends and counter strategies: her zero ability supplies card advantage and proliferate, her minus-two offers removal, and her ultimate creates a poison-based finishing route.

The evidence therefore supports a current, broadly visible demand recovery more strongly than a thin listing-only spike. It does not support a price forecast. Commander attention can rotate to newer releases, replenished listings can absorb demand, and another reprint could reverse the move—as the previous reprint already demonstrated. Shipping, fees, condition and regional markets can also change what a player actually pays or realizes on a sale.

For players needing the card, the practical takeaway is that the recent budget reprint is no longer reliably a one-dollar option in the market described. For everyone else, a large percentage increase is context, not a reason to buy speculatively.
