Wizards of the Coast and Magic’s Studio X will run a seven-hour fundraising livestream for Trans Lifeline on October 10. The broadcast starts at 10 a.m. Pacific on the official Magic Twitch channel and continues until 5 p.m., mixing games with design and worldbuilding discussions.

The program includes Magic Timelines with Ethan Fleischer, an “In Response” trivia segment hosted by Carmen Klomparens, and Q&A panels where Studio X staff will answer donor questions about cards, design decisions and story. Wizards says the event will also offer the first custom translations into the Phyrexian language, handled by its head Phyrexian linguists Bella Guo and Mary Kathryn Amiotte.

Donations go through the campaign’s Tiltify page. Viewers who use an email address linked to their MTG Arena account can receive 5,000 gems for donating at least $25 or 10,000 gems at $50 or more. The incentives turn the stream into a concrete crossover between community fundraising, direct developer access and the digital game rather than a routine promotional broadcast.

Trans Lifeline is a nonprofit hotline and microgrants organization providing emotional and financial support to transgender people. For Magic readers, the practical details are the short lead time, the single-day donation window and the account-link requirement for Arena rewards. Wizards has not described a broader recurring program, so the significance should be read as a specific community event rather than a permanent product or policy change.
