Grist
One travelling insect, a different swarm on every world
Grist is one insect and the queen of the swarm that forms her larger body. Crossing to another world means finding local insects and assembling a new shape, not moving an entire hive between planes.
Profile
Why Grist matters
Grist is an insectoid planeswalker whose apparent body is also a hive. A single organism remains at its centre as queen, while the many insects around her provide the mass of a much larger form.
When Grist reaches another plane, she connects with its local swarms and assembles that form again. The travelling individual and the surrounding collective are therefore not interchangeable: the insects that make her visible need not be the same ones on every world.
