Avishkar made interplanar travel a public spectacle by routing the Ghirapur Grand Prix through Amonkhet and Muraganda. Its prize, the manufactured Aetherspark, promised planar freedom to someone without a natural spark. Chandra entered hoping to restore Nissa's lost ability, while Sita Varma raced behind the Spitfire mask to escape her father's control. Muraganda exposed the cost of treating a treaty with one government as permission from an entire living world. Chandra surrendered her advantage to rescue Loot from Winter and protect local life. At the return to Ghirapur, Mohar Varma's attempted Consulate coup trapped the racers as Jace and Vraska seized Loot and a dragonstorm opened above the city. Elspeth contained the dragon while Sita chose to save Pia rather than take the prize. The Champions of Amonkhet crossed the finish while protecting civilians and dedicated the Aetherspark to their recovering plane. Jace and Vraska then carried Loot to Tarkir, and Elspeth warned that dragonstorms were spreading. The race turned Omenpath possibility into a warning: connection can distribute freedom, exploitation and disaster with equal speed.
Follow this storyAfter the five clans overthrew their dragonlords, Tarkir's dragonstorms intensified and began reaching other planes. Elspeth brought that warning to Narset, who traced the imbalance to Ugin's absence and entered the Meditation Realm seeking his help. There she found Ugin sustaining a living prison for the amnesiac Nicol Bolas. Jace, guided by an unwilling Loot, stole power from Ugin's gem and tried to use the realm beneath reality to erase the wounds of the Phyrexian invasion. Vraska rejected a perfect past chosen for her, and Jace's attempt collapsed the prison. On Tarkir, Sarkhan sacrificed a wild dragon to regain draconic form and command the storm's creatures. Narset, Elspeth, Ajani and the clans resisted his army until Ugin returned, dispersed the dragons and drove the burning Sarkhan away. The intervention saved Tarkir and restored a keeper to its storms, but Ugin arrived with a worse warning: Nicol Bolas had escaped. A blue-cloaked shape forming after the collapse also left Jace's fate unresolved. Tarkir survived without being reset, while the Multiverse inherited the consequences of every attempted shortcut.
Follow this storyOutside the Multiverse, Tezzeret hired Sami and Tannuk to recover a black artifact from Sigma's Reach. The Endstone could revise the past around a chosen purpose, and its passage gathered Alpharael, a Monoist acolyte who rejected holy death, and Haliya, a Sunstar squire who rejected the massacre committed in the name of the Bright Sum. Rival faiths pursued the Seriema across Kavaron and destroyed Taro-duend before the fugitives reached Infinite Guideline. With Mm'menon's help, the crew stole a warp ferry and forced the station's eternity column to open, carrying the artifact into the Weft. Near the Wurmwall, a mask-faced being calling itself the last thing reclaimed the Endstone and left Tezzeret with physical proof of a power beyond Sothera. Other journeys revealed the same buried conflict across the system: Eldrazi-tainted devices wounded time, an ancient influence waited inside Uthros, a Kav recovery node consumed its seekers and Evendo's new generation faced old imperial threats. The route established the Edge as a connected reality shaped by the aftermath of Fomori-Eldrazi war, while Tezzeret gained a possible lead toward the Chaos Wall and the Multiverse he left behind.
Follow this storyAfter rebuilding himself, Jace Beleren created the Echoverse: a second Multiverse intended to remove the catastrophes that had shaped him. Its instability led the dominant fragment called the Theorist to plan an overlay that would replace the souls of the original worlds. Tam abducted the oracle Jadzi so her death could reveal how two planes had merged into Arcavios, while Vraska, Chandra, Ajani and Garruk entered Hexhaven to stop Jace. Direct attacks failed, so the group recovered the mental selves he had excised—among them the Detective, Warden, Nihilist, Guildpact, Soldier and Survivor—and returned them to his body. Jadzi chose the death that carried the Theorist to Arcavios's creation, giving him the method of convergence but also extending his mind beyond his defences. As copied planes began to overlap their originals, Liliana and Vraska created an opening for the fragments to reintegrate. The restored Jace accepted responsibility and died by Vraska's hand, breaking his control without reversing the collision. His spark and integrated qualities passed to Tam, who called Emrakul from Innistrad's moon. The Eldrazi titan separated the Echoverse from the original and consumed every artificial plane. Tam survived as a new planeswalker, carrying Jace's history while choosing an identity and purpose of her own.
