An endless House rearranges itself around the fears of everyone trapped inside.

Duskmourn

Duskmourn is a plane consumed by Valgavoth's House, an impossible interior where survivors cross shifting rooms while their fears take physical form.

Plane profile

A world worth knowing

Duskmourn once had a world beyond its walls, but almost nothing of it survives. The demon Valgavoth expanded the boundaries of his prison until the House swallowed the plane during the Ascension. There is no meaningful outside now: a bedroom door may open onto a flooded tunnel, a forest or a staircase that never reaches another floor.

The House is threaded with Valgavoth's awareness and arranged to cultivate fear. Its loose zones—the Mistmoors, Floodpits, Boilerbilges, Balemurk and Hauntwoods—bleed into one another as rooms shift. Nightmares manifest private terror, cellarspawn follow Valgavoth's hunger, and razorkin, cultists and quickened toys turn familiar objects into fresh reasons not to stop moving.

Survivors answer the House with memory, improvisation and fragile alliances. The House Institute studies its rules, Benefactors leave supplies and Doorblades hunt what usually hunts them. Omenpaths have made Valgavoth's doors easier to push into other planes, feeding Duskmourn new victims. Escape is therefore more than survival; it is the only way to stop one endless interior from reaching every world.
