Belaxis
Protection is not safety
Belaxis wants to survive, making his lively insistence on a particular life an affront to Ixhel's doctrine of expendable servants.
Profile
Why Belaxis matters
His bargain with Geth brings him from the Hunter Maze to a gatekeeper's post. He helps Ixhel solve its musical lock.
Ixhel later impales him on the Dominus of Pain. Her interest never becomes mercy; his help does not protect him.
