Geyadrone Dihada

A conqueror who prefers other people's power

Dihada turns talent into dependency and bargains into traps. Her history is full of powerful servants; uncertainty about her later whereabouts is not permission to assign every hidden scheme to her.

Profile

Why Geyadrone Dihada matters

Dihada was an ancient demonic planeswalker whose conquest relied on deception as well as force. Shapeshifting helped her prepare schemes long before their victims understood the contest. A disadvantage could become an offer; an advantage could make the offer disposable.

Her bargain with Dakkon followed that pattern. Awakening his spark fulfilled the literal reward, while binding his soul to the Blackblade denied the freedom he had expected. The smith's capacity, not merely the finished sword, was what she wanted to possess.

Sol'kanar likewise changed from a nature spirit into a corrupted champion. Dihada's domination reached formidable beings, including Elder Dragons. These relationships were not partnerships between equals, even when a servant's own violence made him more than an innocent instrument.

She left Dominaria near the end of the Planeswalker War. Later accounts describe belief that she survived the Mending and rumours of continuing influence. Those reports do not establish her location, confirm a particular modern conspiracy or make every person bearing her legacy an eyewitness.
