Ludevic
A reclusive alchemist whose laboratory outlived the rumours
Ludevic's reputation joins money, seclusion and forbidden experiment. Stories that he had abandoned research sit uneasily beside the laboratory where Geralf later developed his craft.
Profile
Why Ludevic matters
In Nephalia, Ludevic of Ulm was known as a wealthy, reclusive alchemist and influential merchant. Accounts that potions and toxic fumes had forced him out of research remained rumours, alongside opposing rumours that the experiments continued.
Later, Geralf studied in Ludevic's laboratory and made real progress there. Reports of his teacher's erratic behaviour did not draw him away from the work. The laboratory was not merely the relic of a career everyone agreed had ended.
