Why Mm'menon matters

Mm'menon is an Illvoi researcher shaped by Uthros, where cloudsculpted laboratories descend through pressures that would crush ordinary ships. The Combine expects disciplined inquiry into the giant world's material secrets. Mm'menon instead connects anomalies across the entire Sothera system: missing histories, causal contradictions and traces that point beyond local astronomy. Their insistence that the evidence belongs to one buried pattern costs them their standing.

Exile does not make Mm'menon cautious. They exchange language, cosmology and technical access with Tezzeret, the stranded outsider whose magic can manipulate the metals of the Edge. Where established researchers see unrelated curiosities, Mm'menon sees a battlefield after the battle: debris from powers so immense that younger civilisations mistake their remains for natural law. Tezzeret supplies reach, intimidation and the appetite to act on that interpretation.

Their analysis predicts a causal manipulator at Sigma's Reach. The resulting expedition recovers the Endstone, although erased crew and revised memories prove the device is directing its rescuers. Mm'menon joins the Seriema when it needs acceleration toward Infinite Guideline. They are delighted by the chance to experiment and annoyed when Tezzeret forbids it, yet their explanation helps the crew understand that predicted futures are attractors rather than settled destinations.

Mm'menon survives the passage from theory to consequence. The Endstone's maker confirms that something ancient can reach through the Weft, while Uthros and other sites retain further evidence of Eldrazi and Fomori wars. Their dossier is therefore less a completed discovery than a method: treat impossibility as data, distrust the boundaries between disciplines and remember that being expelled by an institution does not make the danger outside it unreal.
