At the rim of reality, every road through the stars carries an older danger.
Sothera System
Sothera is a wounded star system in the Edge, a ring-shaped universe beyond the Chaos Wall where five worlds, rival faiths and an interstellar commons struggle around a supervoid full of unfinished history.
Plane profile
A world worth knowing
Sothera occupies a dangerous pocket of the Edge, the annular reality caught between the violent Chaos Wall and the silent outer boundary called the Quiet Wall. Its five principal worlds once circled an ordinary sun. That sun is now a supervoid, an absence ringed by lethal light and disputed meaning. Susur Secundi hangs close to the dark centre; mirrored Adagia, shattered Kavaron, living Evendo and the cloud giant Uthros trace very different answers to survival.
Distance does not isolate those worlds. Eternity drives lift ships into the higher geometry of the Weft, while eternity columns provide the stable paths needed to leave the system. Infinite Guideline guards Sothera's most important column. Around it operates Pinnacle, a cooperative authority that measures obligation through reputation and mallowmass rather than money. Its promise of mutual aid is genuine, but every rescue also reveals how much order depends on shared trust.
Sothera's peoples carry incompatible futures. The Kav preserve fragments of a homeworld their own empire mined apart. Eumidian broods remake Evendo through terrasymbiosis, adapting themselves as they warm and seed the planet. Illvoi cloudsculptors study the crushing depths of Uthros. Human Monoists seek union with the supposed final intelligence beyond the supervoid, while the Celestial Palatinate and its Sunstar Free Company arrive to reignite the star in service of the Bright Sum.
Beneath those conflicts lie remains from wars older than any living faction. Eldrazi corruption scars the Weft, Fomori legacies survive in abandoned mechanisms and a causality-shaping Endstone edits history by selecting the past that serves its path. Tezzeret enters this exoverse looking for a route home and finds evidence that Sothera is less a frontier than a graveyard. The system's defining question is therefore not who owns the future, but which ancient power has already arranged the present.
