Samut

Dissenter, protector and a voice for Naktamun's living

Samut's speed first served her crop, then a rebellion against the history imposed on Amonkhet. Protecting people meant challenging the deaths they had been taught to desire and helping rebuild what survived.

Profile

Why Samut matters

Samut excelled among Amonkhet's initiates, fighting with paired khopeshes and extraordinary speed. Her bond with Djeru grew through shared training, but their childhood loss beyond the Hekma led them toward different answers about what a meaningful life required.

She investigated the ruins and recognised the God-Pharaoh as an invader rather than a saviour. When Djeru sought the promised death, Samut and Gideon prevented Hazoret's final blow. Saving him did not instantly undo the beliefs that made him resent survival.

During Naktamun's destruction, she helped protect the wounded Hazoret from the Scorpion God. The god's gratitude ignited Samut's spark; her first brief journey did not make her abandon home. She returned to help the survivors endure.

In the later reconstruction, Samut became Hazoret's champion and a spokesperson for the living. She oversaw restoration and the histories recovered through it. She supported Basri and Zahur's racing mission without herself competing in the Grand Prix.
