Plane profile
A world worth knowing
Valley is only one region of Bloomburrow, but at animalfolk scale it feels immense. Grass becomes forest canopy, a boulder becomes a mountain and a mature tree can support a city. Meadows, ponds, thickets, marshes and rocky heights create connected habitats where mice, rabbits, birds, frogs, otters and many other peoples build homes suited to their bodies and traditions.
Most communities value hospitality, shared knowledge and practical cooperation. Spellcasting, known as weaving, draws on the natural world to mend roofs, nourish crops or defend neighbours. Authority is usually local and consensus-driven, so heroism grows from responsibility rather than rank. Visitors from other planes take animal forms, entering a culture that judges them by what they contribute.
The calm exists beside older danger. Calamity Beasts embody floods, drought, storms, blight and other forces too large for any one village to resist. Animalfolk history remembers how cooperation and weaving ended an age of unchecked devastation. When that balance fails, Bloomburrow turns the comforts of home into stakes worth crossing the whole Valley to defend.
