A shield can be a community's essential work.
Gobakhan
Two suns shine over Gobakhan's deserts, where diamond-laden storms make magical protection a daily necessity rather than a ceremonial display of strength.

A world worth knowing
The Eastern and Western Clouds carry deadly diamond grains. Shield-mage monks protect communities against weather that can cut through ordinary shelter; their discipline grows from a practical need.
Teyo later returns with techniques shaped by Ravnica's war. His renewed protective work belongs to the original Gobakhan, not the Echoverse career in which a counterpart turns diamondstorms into an assassin's training.
