A destroyed world survives through an imperfect inheritance.
Skalla
Skalla is Vivien Reid's lost home, where conflict between progress and nature preceded devastation. Its remaining animal essences travel with her, not inside a restored world.
Plane profile
A world worth knowing
Vivien remembers Skalla through a failure to balance industrial ambition and the living world. Bolas destroyed it; her memories of that loss follow her into encounters with other societies that treat animals as possessions.
The Arkbow preserves dying creatures' life force and summons spirit forms. That continuity is neither an intact ecosystem nor evidence that Skalla can still be visited. Vivien carries a responsibility, not a replacement home.
