Ezuri
Leadership turned against its people
Ezuri gives frightened elves a shared purpose, making practical work and hidden refuges the foundations of resistance to Phyrexia.
Profile
Why Ezuri matters
Once a bandit, Ezuri draws the Viridians out of mutual blame after the Fifth Dawn and into organised work. He is not an established great warrior; his importance grows from giving a scattered people something they can do together.
When Phyrexia attacks the Tangle, he keeps many elves hidden high in the trees. A network of refuges becomes resistance, and he makes contact with other survivors. Glissa's control below does not mean everyone above has surrendered.
Compleated by the Progress Engine, he uses old comrades' secrets to hunt them.
