Glissa
A defender remade as a hunter
Glissa's history turns a defender into an organiser of predation, preserving formidable agency while directing it against the people she once helped.
Profile
Why Glissa matters
After defeating Memnarch, she retreats underground. Oil reaches her sleeping body, and Vorinclex awakens her as his compleated speaker.
Her new authority is not merely ceremonial. During Phyrexia's confinement below ground, she builds a faction, sends beasts into the Tangle and presses for attack before the other rulers are ready.
She helps design the Hunter Maze and handles responsibilities Vorinclex leaves to her. Their imposed natural selection is engineered violence, not a forest returned to freedom.
When Lukka attacks, Glissa fights him as his supposed control becomes compleation. She then orders him to find Nissa alive for Phyrexia's use. His exhilaration disguises obedience, not victory over her.
