Why Rowan Kenrith matters
Rowan and Will Kenrith entered the Multiverse as an exception: two people bound to one spark. Rowan was the motion in that partnership, a trained knight whose electrical magic could charge a blade or strike before hesitation took hold. She wanted to equal the legendary careers of her parents and disliked any lesson suggesting that patience might be a form of strength rather than an obstacle.
Study at Strixhaven gave Rowan new techniques but never softened her instinct to act. She flourished around Prismari's expressive magic, where emotion could become spectacular force, while the shared spark ensured Will was never entirely outside her decisions. Their bond was genuine and constraining at once. Love made them formidable; comparison made every difference in temperament feel like a contest.
The Phyrexian invasion killed their parents, shattered Eldraine's courts and left both twins without their spark. Rowan responded to helplessness by pushing harder. As the Wicked Slumber spread, she saw Will's caution and coalition-building as proof that the new High King lacked the will to save anyone. Eriette recognised the wound beneath that anger and offered Rowan a version of safety built on absolute power.
Rowan ultimately fought beside the witch's enchanted sleepers and against her own brother. Will's apology reached the grief but could not undo the choices surrounding it, and Ashiok's arrival turned defeat into another open door. Rowan left rather than accept a place in Will's restored order. Her path remains dangerous because her motive is not simple cruelty: she wants no one to be as powerless as she felt, and can justify almost anything that promises enough strength.
