Where courtly virtue meets the dangerous logic of a fairy tale.

Eldraine

Eldraine is split between the ordered Realm of five knightly courts and the untamed Wilds, where fae bargains and storybook rules can be more binding than law.

Plane profile

A world worth knowing

Eldraine wears two faces. In the Realm, farms and villages shelter beneath five royal courts: Ardenvale, Vantress, Locthwain, Embereth and Garenbrig. Each court is built around a virtue tested by an ancient relic, and ambitious knights earn standing through quests rather than inheritance alone. The courts answer to the High Throne, yet rivalry keeps their ideals from becoming a single, comfortable truth.

Beyond the roads lie the Wilds, a shifting country of witches, giants, elves and capricious fae. Its magic rewards attention to promises, symbols and the hidden price of desire. A harmless invitation can become a binding bargain, while an impossible task may be the safest route home. Eldraine's best stories begin where the Realm's confidence meets a world that refuses to follow mortal rules.

The Phyrexian invasion broke courts, bloodlines and old assumptions about who protects the plane. In its wake, a magical sleep spread through the Realm while the Wilds became both refuge and threat. Eldraine now rebuilds without the certainty that chivalry alone can hold the world together, leaving room for unlikely heroes and dangerous new bargains.
