When mana is abundant, nothing stays small
Shandalar
Shandalar's unusually rich mana empowers wild regions, ambitious kingdoms and relics dangerous enough to keep reshaping its conflicts.
Plane profile
A world worth knowing
Magic saturates Shandalar. Its abundance distinguishes places as different as Kalonia's wilds, the kingdom of Thune, shadowed Xathrid, volcanic Valkas and distant Evos Isle. Power is easier to find here than restraint, allowing creatures, spellcraft and local dangers to grow beyond ordinary limits.
The vanished Onakke civilisation turned that supply of mana into artifacts with consequences long after their makers were gone. Slivers pose a different threat: a collective species that shares adaptations across the hive and becomes more capable with every encounter. Shandalar is therefore a reminder that plentiful magic does not make life simple; it accelerates everything competing to use it.
