Sanar
Prismari experimenter who keeps ideas moving until unfinished work becomes a form of possibility
Sanar treats every medium as an invitation and every crisis as material for invention. His restless creativity frustrates tidy planners but gives his friends options when familiar methods fail.
Profile
Why Sanar matters
Sanar is a goblin artist who follows inspiration faster than any single project can contain it. He moves between music, performance, design and magical technique, gathering skills without accepting that mastery must look like a finished object. Critics see abandonment. Sanar sees a growing workshop whose pieces can meet one another later.
Strixhaven gives that instinct a community. Prismari’s tension between deliberate craft and explosive expression suits someone who can analyse a rhythm while already turning it into something new. His closest friends also provide the continuity his projects lack: shared jokes, letters and adventures make experimentation part of a life rather than a succession of discarded starts.
At Titan’s Grave, Sanar converts performance into support. He scouts from roofs, uses percussion to strengthen morale and illuminates the darkness when the group is attacked. His theatrical language does not mean he misunderstands danger. It is a method for keeping imagination available when panic wants every person to see only one terrible ending.
After Tam disappears with Jadzi, Sanar chooses the unfinished spell in front of him. He follows Lluwen’s gestures and lets a partial understanding combine with everyone else’s. The result captures his best quality: he does not need to own the complete design before contributing something vital to its completion.
