Crossing the threshold did not lead into a building that could be left by finding its outer wall. Corridors opened into forests, flooded chambers and industrial spaces, then folded back into domestic rooms with no reliable geometry. A map recorded where the House had been, not where it would remain.
Valgavoth’s influence operated through that instability. The demon did not need to chase every visitor directly. Razorkin, cellarspawn and other manifestations pressured survivors while the House shifted exits, isolated the vulnerable and prolonged anticipation.
The team’s training helped them survive individual attacks but could not impose order. Zimone searched for rules, Niko created options through reflected space, Tyvar adapted his body to immediate threats and the others guarded the route. Cooperation became their only stable architecture.
