Routes from many planes opened onto the deserts of Thunder Junction. Travellers founded towns, laid rail and raised claims faster than any shared authority could define ownership. Every community therefore imported part of another world while insisting the frontier offered a new beginning.
That promise attracted people with reasons to disappear. Criminal reputations became credentials, old weapons gained new markets and a stranger could arrive with magic nobody nearby recognised. Akul’s Hellspurs converted that uncertainty into territorial power around Tarnation.
The plane also exposed the social force of Omenpaths. Interplanar movement was no longer a rare privilege of planeswalkers. A railway could carry technologies from several worlds, and a saloon could host alliances that would once have required a cosmic emergency to assemble.
