A missing oracle draws five students beneath Titan’s Grave. They steady a future-warping archaic, but Tam’s betrayal carries Jadzi into the manufactured reality waiting beyond Arcavios.

The route in brief

Strixhaven has survived invasion, rebuilding and the arrival of Omenpaths, but the university’s restored walls do not make Arcavios stable. Archaics that once moved calmly through the plane have begun to flicker, lash out and lose their place in time. When one carries Oracle Jadzi into Titan’s Grave, a group of students treats the crisis as a rescue. They do not yet know that someone beyond their reality has engineered the route.

Abigale, Sanar, Kirol, Lluwen and Tam enter the story as friends scattered across separate field studies. Their letters show the habits that hold the group together: Abigale chooses language carefully, Sanar turns every crisis into a performance, Kirol charges toward danger, Lluwen searches for a place to belong and Tam translates uncertainty into mathematics. That variety becomes more useful than any single discipline.

Two older conflicts tighten around them. Chandra believes a surviving fragment of Jace is manipulating the archaics and wants to destroy the largest one before his plan matures. Ajani sees her pain but fears another decision made through overwhelming force. Professor Dellian Fel understands more about Titan’s Grave than he admits, while Jadzi insists that the wounded archaic is a patient rather than a weapon.

The students prevent Arcavios from tearing itself apart, yet their success cannot close the larger trap. Tam pushes Jadzi through the unstable nexus and follows her, fulfilling an instruction hidden beneath genuine friendship. The ending is therefore both rescue and loss: the group proves that cooperation can steady a future, while Tam carries the oracle into the opening of Reality Fracture.

  1. Letters from the Vastlands

    Five friends trade magical letters from separate field studies, revealing both their new independence and the fragile bonds that still keep them together.

    A shared set of enchanted writing boards lets Abigale, Sanar, Kirol, Lluwen and Tam remain present in one another’s lives while their assignments spread them across the Vastlands. The conversation is affectionate and chaotic. Advice, corrections and private worries all occupy the same pages, making the correspondence a portrait of a friendship that works because no one speaks in the same way.

    Abigale studies the Forum of Amity and notices how easily an institution built for communication can exclude people. Sanar pursues spectacle at Summitfest. Kirol trains among the dead at the Fields of Strife under Ajani, learning that a planeswalker’s spark usually awakens through trauma rather than ambition.

    Lluwen joins Professor Dellian Fel’s expedition to Titan’s Grave, with Tam beside him. He wants academic recognition but also hopes that Jadzi can explain what he saw among the archaics. The field trip promises belonging to a student who still feels treated as an outsider; that need makes every later secret more dangerous.

  2. The Archaic That Should Not Be There

    Lluwen finds archaics gathered around an impossible snarl, then watches a colossal figure leave Titan’s Grave carrying Jadzi in its hand.

    At Titan’s Grave, Lluwen’s curiosity collides with the politics he hoped to escape. Other students reduce him to a Lorwyn stereotype, and his temper turns an insult into a fight. Fel ends the confrontation but offers little patience, leaving Lluwen even more determined to find something that proves his value.

    Deeper in the site, Lluwen hears archaics chanting around a magical convergence that should not exist there. Tam helps him reason through what he has seen: oracles and archaics are connected across time, so Jadzi may be the only person capable of explaining their distress.

    Jadzi and Fel are already arguing about danger, responsibility and the use of students when the ground answers them. A colossal archaic rises, takes Jadzi and walks away. Fel’s evasions turn concern into suspicion, and Lluwen sends the emergency message that summons the rest of his friends.

  3. Teachers at Cross-Purposes

    The students reunite with Ajani, encounter Chandra’s Shattered pupils and learn that the same rescue has become two incompatible missions.

    Abigale, Sanar and Kirol arrive at Titan’s Grave to find the camp leaderless and hostile. Ajani catches up with Kirol before the group can rush in alone. He joins the search because mentoring means more than teaching a technique; it means entering danger when a student’s loyalty has already carried them there.

    Masked spellcasters ambush the party and bring them to Chandra. Her Shattered students were once connected to the Oriq, but she has given them a new community and a new name. Chandra believes Jace survived Tarkir in some form, damaged her mind and is now manipulating Arcavios’s archaics for a larger plan.

    Ajani cannot reconcile that claim with what he witnessed, and disbelief turns an old bond into a fight. The disagreement becomes immediate when the giant archaic appears with Jadzi in its palm. Chandra prepares to destroy it; Ajani stops her long enough for everyone to be driven beneath Titan’s Grave.

  4. What the Grave Feeds

    Trapped underground, the students confront a daemogoth feeding on their worst emotions and discover that Fel’s return from death remains unfinished business.

    The combined students move through tunnels that amplify isolation, anger and shame. Lluwen and Kirol struggle to say what their friendship means. Tam sees a white-robed figure in her reflection and treats the vision as another problem to suppress. Their private fractures give the darkness something to consume.

    A daemogoth reveals itself as the pressure behind their hostility. It turns roots and stone against the group, pulling Lluwen toward a pit while offering power through despair. No individual spell is enough, but his friends refuse to release him even when he tells them to save themselves.

    Fel arrives and converts the creature’s corruption into violent new life. The daemogoth recognises him and refers to an earlier bargain, exposing the hunger attached to his resurrection. Fel denies the accusation, yet Lluwen’s report of an impossible snarl finally earns his attention and redirects the expedition toward Jadzi.

  5. A Future Without Footing

    Jadzi explains that Arcavios is losing possible futures, forcing Chandra and Ajani to choose cooperation while reality changes around the wounded archaic.

    Chandra and Ajani reach Jadzi inside the titan’s skull. She is tending the archaic that carried her away, not fighting it. Nearby, a nexus resembles a snarl but contains glimpses of other worlds and impossible arrangements of reality. Each pulse causes the archaic to flicker because the future from which it originates is being altered.

    Chandra sees the creature as the likely instrument of Jace’s plan and asks Jadzi to stand aside. Jadzi refuses to treat a living being as a disposable symptom. Killing it might remove an immediate threat while sacrificing the very future they claim to protect.

    The argument makes room for a smaller agreement: investigate together before burning away what cannot be restored. Yet instability keeps escalating, and old injuries overtake restraint. Chandra and Ajani fight until both recognise that surviving repeated wars has not made more violence the only responsible answer.

  6. The Betrayal Inside the Rescue

    Tam sends Jadzi through the nexus, then vanishes after her, while the remaining friends complete the oracle’s spell and calm the collapsing archaic.

    As the students reach the chamber, reality cycles through incompatible landscapes and freezes the older planeswalkers in place. Jadzi begins a precise spell to soothe the archaic. Tam follows familiar mathematical constants through the chaos, approaches the oracle and pushes her into the nexus before anyone understands what she intends.

    Tam admits that she was made for this purpose. Her affection for the group was real, but so was the command buried beneath it. She follows Jadzi through the closing passage, leaving Kirol, Lluwen, Sanar and Abigale to face an unstable archaic and the knowledge that their friend chose both love and betrayal.

    Lluwen reconstructs Jadzi’s interrupted gestures. The others join him, and small lumarets combine their bodies to reproduce the spell’s shapes. Their many limited contributions accomplish what none could alone: the archaic settles and the chamber holds. Arcavios survives, while Tam and Jadzi awaken inside the hidden reality that will become the next crisis.
