A world worth knowing
Kamigawa contains two interdependent realities: the mortal utsushiyo and the kami realm of kakuriyo. Their relationship was broken when Konda stole part of the great spirit O-Kagachi in pursuit of immortality, igniting the Kami War. Michiko and the newborn kami Kyodai ended that conflict, but the damaged boundary never returned to its old certainty.
Twelve centuries later, merge sites bring the two realms together in unpredictable pockets of power. Cities glow with neon, mechs and virtual systems while shrines, samurai and living spirits remain part of daily life. The Imperial court, futurists, gangs, rebels and nature-bound orders disagree sharply over technology, yet all of them live on a plane where tomorrow and the oldest story can occupy the same street.
