The Machine Orthodoxy measures beings by their usefulness to its vision of perfection. Skrelv is judged defective and fit to be harvested so his parts can serve another Phyrexian.
The official record says that has not happened: his small size, cleverness and luck have kept him from being recycled. It names no particular pursuit, hiding place or rescuer.
His continued survival is the recorded event, not an invented escape scene. The card's title, Defector Mite, does not establish a Mirran resistance alliance, a journey elsewhere or a confirmed later fate.
