Companionship · Mentorship · A public search
Travellers Still Searching
Yanggu finds continuity in a companion, Kasmina watches the choices of students and Yanling makes a private search public. These are separate journeys whose unanswered questions should not be filled with convenient victories.
Why this story matters
The route in brief
Crossing a plane is not the same as finding an answer. These three journeys follow people with different questions: a missing past, a future someone hopes to prevent and a mentor whose absence has outlasted years of searching.
They do not describe a shared expedition or a secret alliance. Their connection is the distance between possessing power and deciding what that power should accomplish. A loyal companion, a watched student and a public race can each redirect a search.
The chapters therefore keep their endings open where the accounts do. Losing a spark need not destroy companionship. Offering mentorship need not mean sharing the whole plan. Entering a competition can be a decision to become visible without already delivering the reunion someone wants.

Yanggu leaves Ravnica with his companions
Bolas falls, and Yanggu, Yanling and Mowu leave a city whose survival does not undo its losses.
Yanggu's search began with an incomplete memory and a chosen name. Mowu travelled beside him, while Mu Yanling also shared part of the road. The remembered valley gave him somewhere to begin without telling him who he had been. He could not remember his family or even his original name.
On Ravnica, their departure comes after the battle against Bolas. Rat sees Yanling and Yanggu leave together with their three-tailed hound, who turns to stone just before the three disappear. A small observed departure confirms that these companions survived the city's catastrophe.
Victory has not made the surrounding grief disappear. Ravnicans carry away the wounded and dead while others celebrate. Yanggu's next destination is not identified in that moment; the witnessed fact is the company in which he leaves.

Kasmina's guidance has another point of view
The Kenriths receive a university welcome while Kasmina watches their paths and Lukka's through her owls.
On Arcavios, Kasmina welcomed Rowan and Will to Strixhaven and let the university become their immediate problem. Through an owl's eyes, she could continue observing their choices after the welcoming conversation had ended. Another owl followed Lukka and Mila in the wilderness.
Her interest was not limited to whether anyone passed a class. The twins' changing relationship with power offered possibilities she wished to understand, while Lukka's movements exposed another danger growing outside the campus. Distance did not keep her from following either thread.
After the Blood Avatar's attack, the school repaired its grounds and remembered its dead. Kasmina judged Lukka less worth watching and shifted attention to Rowan, or perhaps both Kenriths. Her role remained that of a mentor whose students could not see every calculation behind the help.

Yanling chooses a race that might carry her name
The search for Li Shan leads Yanling to GP Aspire, not an invented victory in the main Grand Prix.
Mu Yanling shapes wind and water for movement and combat. Travelling with Yanggu and Mowu was one part of her life, but she also sought her own missing mentor, Li Shan. Searching across Shenmeng and other planes had not brought him back.
She chose a different tactic: become visible enough that Li Shan might find her. Yanling entered GP Aspire alone, without a racing team, relying on her elemental magic. Her search had moved onto a public stage rather than reached its conclusion.
GP Aspire is a lower division within the wider Grand Prix festival, not the headline contest for its ten teams. Entering it says neither that Yanling won the Aetherspark nor that her mentor returned. The act that matters here is her change of approach.
