Aether, invention and a world renamed

Avishkar

Formerly known as Kaladesh, Avishkar pairs a living aether ecosystem with a culture that treats invention as celebration, livelihood and political power.

Plane profile

A world worth knowing

Aether is not merely fuel on Avishkar. It moves through the environment, shapes waterways and plant life, attracts wildlife and gives artificers the energy to make impossible ideas tangible. In cities such as Ghirapur, constructs share crowded streets with inventors while thopters stitch paths through the air.

The old Consulate turned access to aether and technology into control. Its Inventors' Fair gathered the plane's finest creations under the language of celebration, then exposed an attempt to seize them. The Renegades broke that grip, and a popular revolution replaced the Consulate with the Avishkar Assembly. The new name marks an aspiration: progress that belongs to the plane rather than its rulers.
