Ten planeswalkers carried one weapon into a world designed to make every strength serve the enemy.

Infection does not wait

Small injuries became strategic deadlines as members of the team disappeared into Phyrexia’s machinery.

Nahiri concealed the seriousness of an early wound because stopping for one person could doom every plane. That decision expressed the mission’s logic and served the enemy’s. Oil transformed time into pressure: admitting infection might protect the group, while concealment allowed the infected planeswalker to keep solving immediate problems until the corruption could use those solutions.

Other routes collapsed differently. Lukka joined himself to a Phyrexian beast and lost the boundary he believed he controlled. Vraska was found too late for Jace’s mind magic to offer more than a private farewell. Nissa was taken into the systems surrounding Realmbreaker. Each fall reduced the team and increased the quality of the forces waiting ahead.

Compleation did not erase every memory or skill. It redirected them. That distinction made the converted walkers dangerous and tragic: their familiar instincts could still be recognised, but their conclusions now served a world that treated consent as unfinished engineering.
