Koth fought for the remains of Mirrodin, Nahiri brought the power to move through the plane’s metal, Kaito and the Wanderer carried Kamigawa’s recent wounds, and Jace held the Sylex and the authority to decide when the mission had reached its last option. Kaya, Tyvar, Nissa, Vraska and Lukka completed a team built for adaptation.
Their common purpose concealed an unavoidable weakness. Each member was not merely a soldier but a route to another plane, a library of relationships and a powerful body Phyrexia could repurpose.
