The land moves, and adventurers move with it
Zendikar
Wild mana drives a beautiful but unstable world whose Roil, ancient hedrons and buried ruins make exploration inseparable from survival.
Plane profile
A world worth knowing
Zendikar behaves like a world defending its own pulse. The Roil can lift terrain, redirect rivers and turn a familiar route into a lethal puzzle without warning. That volatility creates extraordinary landscapes and rewards the expeditionary cultures willing to cross them for knowledge, relics or a place to build.
The hedrons scattered across the plane were part of a prison made by Ugin, Sorin and Nahiri for the Eldrazi titans. Their release devastated continents before Zendikar's peoples and the founding Gatewatch destroyed Ulamog and Kozilek near Sea Gate. Recovery did not tame the plane. It restored the older challenge: living with land that is dangerous because it is vibrantly, magically alive.
