Jace builds a painless second Multiverse and discovers why no mind can improve existence by cutting away its contradictions

The Hunt Begins on Vryn

Vraska learns that Jace lives, gathers allies and follows Loot's map toward the manufactured world hidden behind his last plan.

On Vryn, Vraska has built a quiet life around Ranna Beleren and Loot while mourning Jace. Chandra and Ajani arrive with the harder truth: he survived, took Jadzi and is working from a world no ordinary route can reach. Grief turns into pursuit because love cannot excuse whatever he is preparing.

Loot sketches Omenpath connections while the group recruits Garruk on Muraganda. His senses supply what telepathy cannot easily counterfeit; an illusion may satisfy sight and memory, but it does not always carry the scent of a living thing. The hunter joins a party whose first problem is knowing whether any perception inside Jace's domain can be trusted.

Within Hexhaven, the Theorist copies Loot's knowledge into cadets and damages them in the process. A discarded self called the Guildpact warns that the Echoverse is collapsing, but the Theorist treats compassion as another defect to remove. Vraska begins dreaming of General Beleren, evidence that the parts he rejected are already seeking a way back.
